I hope everyone is ready for Christmas! We are finishing up second quarter with a few assessments and fun activities! All week we will be traveling to different second grade classrooms to learn how other countries celebrate Christmas, ask you student what country they learned about each day!
Tuesday, December 19th POLAR EXPRESS DAY: Students can wear pajamas to school and we will be watching Polar Express in the afternoon. Please remember we will still be going outside for recess so students might want to wear layers. Thursday, December 21st will be a half day, students will be dismissed at 12:30. We will be making mini gingerbread houses for our winter party. If you can please donate small candies, graham crackers, white frosting in a tub, etc. to help make our gingerbread houses festive I would greatly appreciate it! So far we have one tub of frosting and one bag of marshmallows. I hope everyone has a relaxing holiday break! I look forward to spending time with friends and family. School starts back Thursday, January 4th. Help promote leadership and kindness this holiday season. Encourage your child to participate in each simple, daily activity.
